The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness – Agriculture Development Branch in Vineland Station is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic students to apply for our summer positions!

This position working with greenhouse floriculture crops will provide the opportunity to learn about insect pests and production practices while also helping to develop key digital tools for the ornamental sector. KEY JOB INFORMATION

Position Title: Field Research Assistant – Greenhouse
Job Term: Temporary for up to 18 weeks
Locations: Vineland, Ontario
Salary: Level 2 – $18.05 / hour, based on a 36.25 hour work week
Start Date: April 14th, 2025 to May 5th, 2025

The successful candidate will be responsible for both greenhouse and office work. Greenhouse work includes setting up research experiments in commercial facilities and assisting in data collection from May to the end of August. Office work will include data entry and developing our Crop Hub database.

The greenhouse ornamental research assistant position will be based out of Vineland, ON. As the research station in Vineland is not accessible by public transportation, a car will be required.
