What is it?

This year at the Canada Greenhouse Conference, we are featuring 8 stations where suppliers and researchers can give small, hands-on demonstrations to growers. The aim is to teach growers a new skill that can help them with their IPM or production needs.

Who will be there?

Here are some of the exciting vendors and their demonstration topics!

  • Anatis –“ Mites of Greenhouses: Identification, Biology and Control”
  • GrowLiv – “How to Spot a Healthy Predatory Mite Sachet”
  • Biobee – “Blow ‘Em Out… Keep ‘Em Alive: Best Practices for Biocontrol Application”
  • Zengenti – “Click-Along Demonstration of Ontario’s Crop Protection Hub and Crop IPM”
  • Susanne “The Buglady” Wainwright-Evans: “Easy Quality Control of Biologicals for Growers”
  • Fytobooster – “How to Test Different Growing Media for Microgreen and Hydroponic Production”

WHERE is it?

The workshop will be held in Ballroom A of the conference centre. See the circled area in red on the map below!

When is it?

The workshop will be held both days of the conference from 9:30-11:30 both mornings and from 2-4 on Wednesday afternoon. Make sure to come see the two featured speakers as well!

9:30 – 10:15 am – Wednesday and Thursday:

Joe Miller from Zengenti will give a detailed demonstration of Ontario’s Crop Protection Hub and Crop IPM. He will walk you through the basics as well as new features we’ve just released.

2:00-2:45pmWednesday:

Suzanne “The Bug Lady” Wainwright-Evans will demonstrate quality assurance techniques for common natural enemies that growers need to know!
